This year many films from Middle and South America reached us. Our journey to Latin America begins in North Mexico and ends in the deep South of the continent in Chile. We will spend some more time on a Caribbean island: we will focus on Cuba and take a closer look at filmmaking in «Castro-land».

In 90's Havana, a nurse and a home builder hopelessly in love, live happily married. A circumstancial fact of her past life, will put their feelings to test and untermine the most elemental principles.
«Vestido de novia» in Spanish has a couble meaning: literally is «Bridal Gown» and also «a man dressed as a bride». Moreover «Vestido de novia» is the title of a poem by Norge Espinosa. It was the first poem on a homoerotic theme to win the Premio de Poesía from Cuba's state cultural magazine «El Caimán Barbudo» and has since become one of the most anthologized poems by poets of his generation. Considered an anthem, the title «Vestido de novia» has therefore, a great symbolic value.
